Role: Project Manager - DAM System Discovery
Description: Senator Kennedy envisioned the EMK Institute as a new model for civic education and public discourse on the challenges facing the nation. To fulfill that vision, ESI created the EMK Institute as a portal into the legislative process and a training ground for the decision-makers of the future.
The 40,000-square foot EMK Institute is a ground breaking, dynamic group simulation of the U.S. Senate. Visitors are “senators in training” and engage in the legislative process. Through collaborative experiences facilitated by interconnected technologies, visitors explore the role of the Senate, the Senate’s personalities, its historic accomplishments and its current challenges — all in preparation for a vote on a bill currently pending before Congress.
In order to provide content for simulations, hundreds of hours of video and thousands of words in documentation/reportage must be organized, tagged, and stored. A new integrative Digital Asset Management system was needed in order to enable curators to find and access content when and where needed.
